Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Science, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the chemical specialty field (Die Cast)
  • 5+ years of experience in value selling
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership or competitive function

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in their efforts to be cost-effective, using effective value-added selling techniques to outline the benefits of our products.
  • Grow market share in assigned territory
  • Meet or exceed annual territory budgeted forecast.
  • Identify and communicate industry trends, territory activities, competitive activity, and customer requirements to ensure that Chem-Trend can meet or exceed expectations within the industry segment and other new markets.
  • Prepare timely written and verbal reports.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with customers through regular contact with decision-makers, corporate management, and influential personnel at any level.
  • Maintain Chem-Trend’s image of supporting the product after the sale through excellent customer service.
  • Sell all assigned product lines to customers to secure marketplace position.
  • Utilize purchase agreements and long-term contracts to prevent competitors from selling low margin products and placing profitable products at risk.
  • Diffuse competitive threats at key accounts with a sense of urgency.
  • Use product selection criteria to ensure the best product or technology is offered to customers to provide customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers and troubleshoot product and process issues.
