About The Position

A global trading company with over 40 years of experience in the aerospace and semiconductor industries is seeking a Sales Representative to join their Machinery Division. In this role, you will be responsible for both account management and new business development, promoting a wide range of advanced machinery and electronics solutions-including semiconductor assembly products and electronic components used in aerospace and defense applications. You will manage key customer relationships, identify new market opportunities, and work closely with cross-functional teams across the U.S. and Asia. Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of B2B experience in customer service, sales support, or marketing, ideally within a technical or industrial setting.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing company or the electronics industry required; familiarity with semiconductor or machinery products is highly valued.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word, with advanced Excel skills essential for reporting and analysis.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically (up to 20%) to maintain and grow customer relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry background in aerospace or military-grade electronic components is a plus.
  • Open-minded and collaborative, with the ability to thrive in a multicultural environment.
  • Japanese bilingual skills are a strong plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients through regular visits, presentations, and solution-driven conversations.
  • Research market trends and pricing, analyze RFQ history, and develop effective sales strategies to maximize competitiveness.
  • Prepare and deliver competitive quotations by leveraging supplier partnerships and market insights.
  • Proactively identify and cultivate key accounts through phone, email, and networking activities.
  • Provide timely and detailed sales activity reports, and actively represent the company at meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Partner with internal teams to resolve customer concerns quickly and ensure high client satisfaction.
  • Manage appointments and schedules to maintain consistent customer engagement and pipeline growth.
  • Support procurement, logistics, inventory, and accounting functions to ensure seamless operations for clients.
  • Streamline reporting and documentation processes by effectively using Excel, PowerPoint, and other tools.
  • Organize and submit reports to management in a clear and timely manner, contributing to informed decision-making.
  • Gain a deep understanding of company financials and strategic goals to align sales activities with business growth.
  • Contribute to additional projects and initiatives as needed, supporting the division's overall success.
