Reporting to the Territory Manager, this individual contributor role will play an important role in driving business growth to achieve sales objectives of our aquatics portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field is required. Equivalent experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related sales or product management experience is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
  • Ability to work effectively with other groups in the organization to achieve a common goal.
  • Highly self-motivated through accountability with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Skilled in communicating effectively in verbal and written methods.
  • Competent in applying ethical criteria in situations requiring sound judgement.
  • Proven capability to effectively use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Willingness and ability to travel regionally (40% - 60%) with company vehicle provided.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with SAP software is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Actively engage in managing and developing a customer base within assigned geographical area.
  • Assist in identifying potential customers and expand existing customer relationships.
  • Build effective internal and external working relationships to expand sales opportunities.
  • Provide accurate and label directed agronomic information.
  • With guidance, conduct market research and pricing, sales, and merchandising activities.
  • Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends.
  • Protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with targeted customers.
  • Remain up-to-date with product knowledge, providing accurate information to customers.
  • Support business growth by positively representing the organization and its products and services.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, escalating more complex issues to leadership.
  • Lead and perform work the Nutrien Way – engaging in corporate, policies, programs and practices, including SH&E regulations and standards, to bring our Culture of Care to life.
  • Model our core value of safety by enabling a culture in which you are actively contributing to a safe work environment.
  • Complete other duties as needed to meet business objectives.
