About The Position

The Sales Project Manager will possess strong prospecting skills and an aptitude for customer service. A successful candidate will oversee and manage sales activities for construction projects from kick-off to completion. They will have an inspection and sprinkler fitting experience while ensuring customer satisfaction and seamless execution of projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes and NFPA codes, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills The incumbent will estimate and quote new construction projects along with upgrades to existing fire sprinkler systems. This is an exciting opportunity to engage in impactful work as you contribute to enhancing safety standards and protecting lives through your sales leadership. Local travel within the southeast WI area is required; a vehicle allowance is provided.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience.)
  • Three years of sales and project management experience with fire sprinkler projects.
  • Demonstrated track record of generating sales leads and effectively moving prospects through the sales pipeline.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven time management skills and ability to work with multiple projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management software and tools (e.g., Procore).
  • Ability to travel as required for client meetings and project inspections.
  • Valid and in good standing driver’s license.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Bidding and estimating experience are a plus.
  • Sprinkler design background is a plus but not required; AutoCAD, AutoSprink by MEPCAD
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED AP, NICET) are always a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and expand market share.
  • Generate, cultivate, and acquire sales and new leads while maintaining existing customer accounts.
  • Create, maintain, and manage sales proposals, bids, and quotes for multiple fire protection construction projects.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers to ensure mutually favorable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with designers and project management team to provide value engineering options to increase the efficiency and quality of products and services.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., designers, field service, and other project managers) and external stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Proactively build relationships and communicate with owners, architects, general and sub-contractors, engineers, and designers throughout the construction process
