PALFINGER is searching for a Sales Engineer to support our rapidly growing Defense Solutions division in Schaumburg, IL. This foundational role reports to the Sales Projects and Key Accounts Manager and plays a critical part in expanding our presence across North America. We're looking for a driven, team-oriented professional toidge the gap between sales and engineering, ensuring our solutions meet both technical and operationalmands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor'sgree in engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Sales Engineer or Technical Sales role, preferably in the industrial/heavy equipment orfense sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally (approx. 15%,pending on project and project phase).
  • This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” asfined by 22 C.F.R. - 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” incls U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resnt, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of truck upfitting, lifting solutions, or MIL-specs requirements is a strong plus.
  • Experience with CAD tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop tailored solutions and system configurations that align with customer expectations during the proposal phase.
  • Collaborate with internal stakehors (e.g. R D, Procurement) to ensure the feasibility and accuracy of proposed solutions.
  • Prov first-hand technical support to customers and internal stakehors as ned.
  • Build expertise in our product line (knuckle boom crane, Load Handling systems and Forklifts),livering solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Track industry trends and competitor offerings to help shape sales strategies and product positioning. Participate in future productvelopment projects.
