About The Position

TRUFF is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Sales Planning & Support Specialist, Retail & Food Service to manage, support, maintain, assist with growth, and further develop its growing Retail and Food Service Channels. The primary functions of the role are to assist with preparing sales reports using data from internal and external sources and provide analysis as needed; assist with recommendations to the sales teams that can further the business’ sales potential; support evaluation of the sales team’s performance; review past sales data to determine trends; and assist with presentation development. They will also be supporting analysis of distributor data to support our sales growth plans and supporting trade shows and events nationwide. We are looking for someone who loves to learn, is a team player, and can manage a wide variety of responsibilities and shifting priorities. Your responsibilities will include working very closely with Sales Managers and Directors, Marketing team and broker updates. This position reports to the VP of Strategic Accounts and Sales Planning, but works closely with the Chief Customer Officer, Sales, Category Management, and Marketing teams. This position requires organization, management and problem-solving skills with strong analytical abilities to review current market landscape and brand performance at a distributor level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Marketing or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite & Google Sheets (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive and SharePoint preferred)
  • Adept at learning new computer software programs quickly and independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform procedures consistently.
  • Ability to organize and manage time efficiently and effectively.
  • Resourcefulness and excellent internet research skills.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a multi-tasking role.

Responsibilities

  • Data analysis & reporting - gather, cleanse, and analyze internal & external sales data to identify patterns, trends and other opportunities for growth.
  • Manage all channel price lists.
  • Assist with preparing and finalizing Sales Budget with VP of Strategic Accounts & Sales Planning and track the sales team’s performance against it.
  • Assist in development of the LE down to the SKU, Sales Manager, Customer and total levels.
  • Analyze, research, and provide sales data as needed. Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis for customer sales reports vs. budget/forecasts.
  • Provide monthly business review files and void reports.
  • Assist with and prepare ad hoc reports and analyses for senior management, and for sales presentations.
  • Plan, organize, and execute National Trade Shows and all Regional Trade Shows with the Marketing team and Sales Directors.
  • Update Retail Broker portals with selling materials, price lists, presentations, and category review schedules.
  • Manage all administrative support functions for customer portals, including Target POL, Walmart Retail Link, UNFI and KeHe Connect where applicable.
  • Ensure accuracy of customer profiles and pricing alongside Operations Team.
  • Complete new vendor paperwork and new item forms for internal teams and brokers.
  • Manage and update IX-One, 1Worldsync, RangeMe, and other retailer-required sites.
  • Manage partnership with Syndigo, monitor alongside and maintain sales/retail images and image websites.
  • Manage National Coupon Program if applicable.
  • Ensure all Sales Decks are updated in a timely manner with Marketing and Sales Team feedback.
  • Update Modus with all consumption data monthly.
  • Track sales and marketing sample requests.
  • Perform administrative duties in support of sales activities.
  • Coordinate demo or other in-store shopper marketing events with the Marketing team.
  • Ability to travel in car and airplane to event locations.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
