Sales Operations & Accountability Coach (Insurance Industry) Location: Chicago, IL or Remote (U.S. based) We are seeking a hands-on Sales Operations & Accountability Coach with direct experience in the insurance industry to bring structure, clarity, and execution discipline to a growing sales organization. This is not a motivational coaching role. It is a performance and execution role. You will act as the strategic anchor for our producers and sales leaders diagnosing where execution breaks down, building practical accountability systems, and ensuring follow-through across pipelines, activity, and revenue goals. If you naturally rely on data over intuition, prefer systems over slogans, and believe accountability should be built not chased, you’ll thrive here.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in the insurance industry (brokerage, agency, MGA, or carrier)
  • Background in Sales Operations, Sales Enablement, Strategy, Operations, or Project Management
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems, sales metrics, and structured processes
  • Naturally analytical and detail-oriented, without being rigid or slow-moving
  • Known for follow-through, consistency, and calm execution under pressure

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose Sales Performance with Precision
  • Analyze insurance sales pipelines, producer activity, and conversion metrics
  • Identify breakdowns in prospecting, quoting, follow-up, and close ratios
  • Ask disciplined, data-driven questions to uncover root causes
  • Own the Accountability Rhythm
  • Design and maintain sales scorecards, dashboards, and tracking tools
  • Run structured accountability and performance check-ins with producers
  • Ensure commitments, targets, and timelines are clearly defined and monitored
  • Stabilize Execution in a Producer-Driven Environment
  • Serve as the bridge between leadership strategy and producer execution
  • Help evaluate new sales tactics, markets, or carrier initiatives without disrupting focus
  • Introduce improvements in a measured, sustainable way
  • Build Scalable Insurance Sales Infrastructure
  • Improve sales workflows across new business, renewals, and cross-sell
  • Partner with sales leadership to reinforce expectations and consistency
  • Bring clarity and order to fast-moving, high-growth insurance teams
