About The Position

The Sales & Marketing Strategy Section Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and supervising marketing initiatives that drive foot traffic, sales growth, and brand visibility. This role requires strong ownership of assigned marketing domains, the ability to execute predefined standards, and the capability to supervise execution quality across departments. This position acts as a bridge between strategy and execution, ensuring marketing plans are translated into consistent, timely, and effective in-store and digital outcomes. The role demands strong judgement, operational discipline, and the ability to identify issues and take corrective action without waiting for direction.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred; Bachelor’s or Graduate’s Degree in Merchandising, Business or Business administration preferred
  • 3 – 5 years of marketing experience, preferably in retail or supermarket environment; at least 1 – 2 years in a supervisory or lead role preferred

Responsibilities

  • Proactively plan, execute, and supervise assigned marketing campaigns in alignment with departmental strategy and annual promotion calendar.
  • Translate high-level marketing direction into executable action plans without requiring step-by-step instructions.
  • Take ownership of seasonal promotions, product-driven campaigns, and tourism-related initiatives.
  • Evaluate promotional performance through sales impact analysis and provide improvement recommendations to the management.
  • Lead marketing initiatives with a strong focus on numerical planning, execution, forecasting, and ROI evaluation.
  • Develop pre-campaign sales forecasts, budget plans, and expected return models in collaboration with Merchandising, Store Operations, and related departments.
  • Ensure smooth cross-functional execution by aligning objectives, KPIs, timelines, and financial expectations across MD, store teams, and supporting departments.
  • Conduct post-campaign financial and performance analysis, including ROI, cost efficiency, and sales uplift, and drive continuous improvement based on quantitative outcomes.
  • Own the execution of assigned sections of the annual promotion calendar, ensuring on-time and accurate delivery.
  • Coordinate with Merchandising, Store Operations, Product Strategy, Creative & Multimedia, and Event teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Ensure all departments clearly understand timelines, deliverables, and standards related to marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure POP quality, consistency, and placement meet company standards without requiring managerial reminders.
  • Coordinate with POP writers and Merchandising teams to continuously improve in-store communication effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the Creative and Multimedia Marketing Section to translate marketing strategy plans into compelling visuals and digital executions.
  • Ensure branding, messaging, and campaign objectives are effectively communicated and aligned with creative outputs.
  • Discuss necessary guidelines, briefs, and insights with the creative team for the development of marketing assets.
  • Coordinate the execution of digital marketing campaigns, ensuring content is delivered on time and aligns with overall marketing goals.
  • Stay updated on the latest digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices to enhance marketing executions.
  • Plan and execute email marketing initiatives using customer data and behavioral insights.
  • Proactively utilize CRM data to re-engage inactive customers and enhance repeat visits.
  • Execute inbound tourism marketing initiatives targeting key markets (primarily Japan and Korea).
  • Coordinate with tourism boards, travel agencies, and hotel partners to ensure consistent execution.
  • Conduct regular sales and customer analysis to evaluate campaign effectiveness.
  • Interpret member data to develop targeted and actionable sales & marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Product Strategy Division and Store Strategy Division to maximize promotional uplift.
  • Provide insights and recommendations rather than raw data only.
  • Work closely with Mall Management regarding mall-side marketing initiatives in coordination with Event and Store teams.
  • Manage joint promotions with mall tenants to maximize foot traffic and visibility.
  • Ensure execution quality meets agreed standards without escalation unless necessary.
  • Work closely with Creative & Multimedia Marketing Section Manager and serve as the point of contact as needed for external multimedia and creative partners, including agencies, production vendors, and freelancers.
  • Communicate marketing objectives, execution requirements, timelines, and deliverables clearly to external partners.
  • Review and manage deliverables from external partners to ensure quality, accuracy, brand alignment, and deadline compliance.
  • Coordinate revisions, feedback, and approvals independently without requiring detailed managerial instruction.
  • Independently manage social media posting operations, including scheduling, execution, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Plan and maintain social media posting calendars aligned with promotional campaigns, seasonal initiatives, and store priorities.
  • Ensure all posts are accurate, timely, brand-compliant, and aligned with marketing objectives.
  • Coordinate required assets and content with the Creative & Multimedia Marketing Section and external partners.
  • Propose social media content ideas, posting timing, and formats based on campaign objectives, store activities, and performance results.
  • Review basic performance indicators (e.g. engagement trends, response patterns) and suggest improvements for future postings.
  • Continuously improve social media execution quality through practical, execution-focused recommendations.
  • Independently and proactively manage all assigned administrative tasks related to marketing execution (routine work and fixed plan promotions such as sales flyer and coupons to be executed smoothly without step-by-step instructions).
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records without reminders.
  • Provide regular, structured updates to management on progress, risks, and results.
  • Escalate issues only when decision-making authority is exceeded.
  • Verification and reconciliation of payment data for vendors and partners
  • Coordination with the Accounting Department on payment schedules and approval flow management
  • File and document management related to payment and billing
  • Administrative support for promotional cost settlements, sponsorship fees, and sampling expenses
