About The Position

Our client in the Albany, NY area is seeking a Sales & Marketing Specialist to support both revenue growth and brand visibility within a manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building customer relationships, supporting sales operations, and creating marketing content that drives results. This is a full-time permanent role following a 90-day temp-to-hire period. It is on-site and offers excellent growth potential for a motivated professional with strong communication and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
  • 1-5 years of sales/marketing experience; manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prepare and present information in one-on-one or small-group settings
  • Strong basic math skills , including ability to compute percentages and interpret data graphs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong customer service mindset and ability to handle inquiries professionally
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

Nice To Haves

  • SAP experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales plans to achieve revenue goals and business objectives
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, networking, and referrals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers
  • Conduct sales presentations, negotiate terms, and close deals
  • Track sales performance , analyze results, and recommend strategy adjustments
  • Promote company products and expand customer accounts through targeted outreach
  • Receive and process customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Provide timely order status updates and coordinate shipping schedules
  • Organize completed materials according to customer specifications
  • Address customer concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly
  • Design and execute marketing campaigns across digital, social media, email, and traditional channels
  • Conduct market research to evaluate trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning
  • Develop marketing content such as brochures, ads, social media posts, and blog materials
  • Analyze market conditions and identify new growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support strong customer service and brand consistency
