Position: Sales & Marketing Manager The Sales & Marketing Manager will oversee and lead the activities of the Sales Department and assist Operations Manager and President in strategic company initiatives. This is a Sales Manager focused role first with marketing duties as a secondary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field, OR comparable record of sales leadership experience required
  • 5+ years of Sales management experience, background in flooring, construction or building industry preferred.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
  • Strong supervisory and empathetic leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office programs and a willingness to learn our operating systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in government contracting and procurement a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Hire and train sales staff, organize and oversee the schedules, and performance of sales staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Provide leadership and support to the sales team, motivate, and encourage sales team to ensure goals are met.
  • Review and analyze sales and operational records and reports; using data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.
  • Identify and analyze customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
  • Consult with potential customers to understand their needs; identify and suggests equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs.
  • Resolve customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
  • Prepares sales budget; monitors and approves expenses.
  • Acts as company representative at trade association meetings.
  • Co-ordinate and manage all marketing aspects with President for marketing plan, regional and national sales etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
