The Marketing Content Intern is responsible for maintaining the website, updating all owned and shared channels and brand content assets, and assisting with in-park events. This position is also responsible for assisting Sales & Marketing leadership with a variety of marketing duties as they relate to Adventureland. Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Iowa Child Labor Laws
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constant deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to write content in a clear, concise and professional manner
  • Ability to directly engage with customers and other web media resources
  • Ability to effectively respond to negative online (or in-person) feedback without taking it personally or conveying negative emotion
  • Must possess technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing.
  • Previous knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods of time, while using a computer
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for long periods of time throughout the day
  • Ability to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders
  • Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 20 pounds or more

Nice To Haves

  • Previous amusement park, theme park, or waterpark experience a plus
  • Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
  • Good photography skills would be a plus

Responsibilities

  • Produce content for and oversee all Social Media channels for Adventureland
  • Lead and complete special projects and initiatives related to marketing, sales, and content creation
  • Leverage online platforms to increase awareness and engage fans
  • Design effective and creative media , including in-park signage and website, email, social, print assets , and other content
  • Ensure Park brand and voice consistency across all channels
  • Assist Customer Director with facilitating B2C and B2B/sales email campaigns
  • Collect, analyze, and report on guest demographic information and coupon and promotion revenues on a weekly basis and identify trends
  • Assist with all direct guest communication on owned and shared channels (social media, email, and website) to maximize return on special promotions and sales throughout the complex
  • Maintain and regularly update the Adventureland website, regularly reviewing for accuracy and working with internal departments to generate content
  • Maintain composure and a high degree of professionalism when handling and/or responding to negative feedback
  • Help manage direct guest communication on owned and shared channels (social media, email, and website) to maximize return on special promotions and sales throughout the resort
  • Assist with the park’s email marketing strategies to ensure that relevant and revenue-generating content is delivered on time and on-brand
  • All other duties assigned by leadership
