About The Position

SWBC is seeking a talented individual who will secure and maximize partnerships between organizations and external sponsors to drive brand visibility and engagement. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or related field from an accredited college required. Will accept a strong experience background in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of two (2) years of coordinating and organizing events, marketing, project management or related experience.
  • Ability to manage and organize multiple priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment with great attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to operate office equipment including a copy machine, fax, and binding machine, computer, and all appropriate printers.
  • Detail-oriented and ensuring that all aspects of the visit are documented accurately.
  • Proficient in creating accurate documents utilizing MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Must be able to travel locally, state-wide, and/or nationally, as needed.
  • Stand, stoop, and kneel to file for long periods of time.
  • Push, pull, and lift to 10-20 lbs. of promotional documents, brochures/printed materials, or other related materials.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to build and maintain relationships with sponsors and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and competitor sponsorship activities to craft compelling value propositions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with vendor/contract negotiation experience preferred.
  • Experience working in Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with internal teams to ensure requirements are met to address all details.
  • Responsible for facilitating event details while collaborating with team leaders and acting as a company host as needed.
  • Research client and prospect sponsored events based on the SWBC’s vision and business objectives.
  • Tracks event specific charges for budget reporting.
  • Specializes in creating general and event-related marketing materials using email and web form, cloud-based software, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Explores marketing efforts and builds relationships with third party services (Leagues, foundations and vendors)
  • Works closely with Corporate Marketing for event marketing opportunities, materials, etc. for brand awareness
  • May require skillset to negotiate and execute contracts for large- and small-scale events
  • Monitors and manages exhibiting supplies and storage hardware
  • All other duties as assigned.
