Sales Manager – Broadband Services to lead outbound and strategic sales efforts for our middle-mile solutions. This individual will focus on expanding revenue, deepening carrier and enterprise relationships, and developing partnerships with private, public, and nonprofit organizations aligned with our mission. The ideal candidate brings: ✔ Strong experience in the broadband, fiber, telecom, or network infrastructure industry ✔ A track record of solution-based selling to ISPs, carriers, data centers, public sector agencies, and regional partners ✔ Expertise using Salesforce as a primary CRM, pipeline management, and forecasting tool ✔ Ability to collaborate internally with engineering, network operations, and finance ✔ Experience navigating public funding, economic development initiatives, and public-private partnerships Preferred Qualifications Experience selling to cloud providers, content networks, hyperscalers, or regional data centers. Knowledge of BEAD, NTIA, DHCD, USDA, ARC, or state broadband funding programs. Familiarity with IRU structures, Master Service Agreements, and long-term carrier contracts. Prior experience in a cooperative, nonprofit broadband, economic development, or utility setting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in broadband, telecommunications, fiber, or network infrastructure sales. (B2B/Enterprise)
  • Strong working knowledge of middle-mile networks, dark fiber, transport, colocation, IRUs, and wholesale carrier services.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM for managing opportunities, forecasting, reporting, and account planning.
  • Strong experience in the broadband, fiber, telecom, or network infrastructure industry
  • A track record of solution-based selling to ISPs, carriers, data centers, public sector agencies, and regional partners
  • Expertise using Salesforce as a primary CRM, pipeline management, and forecasting tool

Responsibilities

  • Lead direct sales of middle-mile services to carriers, ISPs, enterprises, government, education, and healthcare organizations.
  • Manage a structured sales pipeline using Salesforce, ensuring accurate forecasting, opportunity tracking, and executive-level visibility.
  • Respond to RFPs, RFQs, inquiries, partner requests, and inbound service opportunities.
  • Develop pricing proposals in alignment with internal engineering, network operations, and finance teams.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales revenue, IRU, and wholesale service targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with private sector carriers, cloud/content providers, county governments, municipal broadband offices, regional partners, and public institutions.
  • Identify partnership opportunities that complement middle-mile network, state initiatives, and digital equity goals.
  • Engage with federal, state, and county agencies related to BEAD, RMC, DHCD, USDA, ARC, and other broadband funding programs.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive pricing, and evolving technology to inform sales strategy.
  • Manage existing accounts to ensure renewal, retention, expansion, and long-term satisfaction.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for partners seeking expansions, upgrades, diverse routing, or new colocation opportunities.
  • Support cross-functional operational coordination for route planning, fiber allocation, and implementation.
  • Work closely with engineering on feasibility, design, and network planning.
  • Coordinate with finance for pricing models, IRU structures, ASC-606 considerations, and revenue forecasting.
  • Partner with executive leadership on high-value negotiations, legislative touchpoints, and strategic messaging.
  • Provide input into annual business development strategy and service offering evolution.
