About The Position

We are seeking a seasoned Sales Manager for Toyota Milpitas who can lead from the front — coaching, mentoring, and developing a high-performing sales team. The ideal candidate will be: Highly proficient in gross profitability Skilled in managing high-volume operations Focused on daily execution, accountability, and performance Actively engaged in the CRM , making calls and driving follow-up Process-driven, with the ability to create and implement systems that elevate the entire sales department This role requires a leader who is hands-on — someone who emphasizes phone activity, appointment setting, follow-up, and consistent coaching to ensure the department operates at the highest level every day. We are a 300+ unit Toyota store , currently ranked Top 10 in the Bay Area , with tremendous traffic and significant room for continued growth. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automotive sales.
  • Previous experience in a management or leadership role.
  • Proven track record of success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of automotive sales processes and finance and insurance (F&I) procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the sales department, including budgeting, forecasting, and setting sales goals.
  • Lead and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to attract and retain customers.
  • Ensure all sales processes and procedures are followed in compliance with dealership policies and regulations.
  • Train and develop sales staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address them.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Resolve customer issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions to inform sales strategies.
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, and training new sales team members.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of our products and services to effectively sell to customers.
