Tempe Honda, a Penske Automotive Group dealership, is seeking a Sales Manager to deliver extraordinary customer experiences. Requirements

  • Genuine interest in providing an exceptional customer experience.
  • Friendliness, enthusiasm, reliability, with a positive "team-player" attitude.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong work-ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Proven sales management leadership, with at least two years of automotive retail management, and at least two years of automotive retail sales experience.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to easily build rapport with customer base and create a trusting work environment that is felt by the customers.
  • Comfortable using internal and external IT systems where appropriate to convey and communicate information; Uses the most appropriate form of system to communicate different types of messages.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two-three years' sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • State salesperson license may also be required.

Nice To Haves

  • B.A. or Associates Degree.
  • Two-three years' sales experience within auto industry.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customers have a world-class car-buying experience at every step along their sales journey.
  • Provide an unparalleled level of expertise to help customers find the vehicle they're looking for, including comprehensive knowledge of available products and services.
  • Ensure sales team is motivated and trained, set sales goals based on individual skill levels, and maintain an appealing showroom to draw the interest of customers.
  • Strive to grow the dealership and your career by setting monthly and annual goals for the Sales Department with the General Manager and reporting on your progress.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the dealership.
  • Sustain focus and clarity by prioritizing performance measures, collecting only new information, selectively auditing performance, and encouraging individuals to self-assess and take their own initiatives to continuously improve.
  • Foster a cooperative team style; make teambuilding a team challenge by focusing on the behaviors of a winning team.
  • Lead by example in all aspects; maintain focus on brand building as the cornerstone of success; demonstrate integrity and trustworthiness, internally and externally; promote self-reliance and continuous improvement.
