About The Position

Our Product Innovation and Sales Team, comprised of a collaborative combination of Regional Product Innovation Team Members, our Field Sales Managers, our marketing and internal sales team, and the leadership team work hand-in-hand on a daily basis to create and sell our products to our customers. Our Product Innovation team members are the creative force who brainstorm innovative ideas to develop and execute to present residential homeowners products to the marketplace and develop and implement opportunities to optimize our existing products' success with an innovative and proactive mentality, a great sense of urgency and a “get it done right the first time” work ethic. Our Sales Managers take those products and are our “frontline” team members who are actively out seeing prospective and current customers in the states in which we do business. Representing Cabrillo Coastal with professionalism, integrity, creativity, a sense of humor and a great depth of knowledge about all Company residential homeowners’ products and their corresponding markets, our Sales Managers are the warm, personable, and customer-focused team members who “make it all happen”.   • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in sales or marketing-related field, from an accredited institution OR equivalent, at least 1 year of related sales work experience.

  • Some residential property insurance and/or insurance sales experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Represents Company within the north central Florida territory to meet and exceed assigned quarterly sales goals; demonstrates professionalism, tact, diplomacy, responsiveness, a strong work ethic and a “thick skin”, when necessary, to pursue leads, continue follow-through, close sales and in all other customer/agent interactions.
  • Develops and follows-through on sales plans; prepares and conducts sales presentations regarding Company products and services for one-on-one sales interactions and/or larger events with prospective and/or current customer/agents; clearly communicates information regarding Company products.
  • Acts as Company liaison with all prospective and appointed customer/agents within assigned territory; organizes, plans, schedules and manages assigned prospective and appointed agents’ face-to-face visits to ensure quality contact on a frequent basis with each and every customer; ensures appropriate follow through to address customer/agents inquiries and concerns; develops, maintains and distributes call reports and other applicable customer/agent and sales documentation and reports; effectively trains agents’ representatives on proper use of Company website/system.
  • Researches and identifies appropriate prospects/leads and pursues, obtains, manages, monitors and updates agent appointments/contracts in accordance with Company’s quality standards in assigned territory.
  • Effectively trains agent representatives on proper use of Company/website/system and regularly “checks-in” to ensure agents’ use is efficient and accurate; when necessary, offers ongoing training and guidance to customers/agents.
  • Via the regular communication of sales information and insight, works closely and collaboratively with Underwriting, Product Development, Claims and other applicable team members to assist in developing and ensuring assigned territory/ies and/or programs profitability and success.
  • Actively contributes as a member of the Cabrillo Coastal Team by assisting and supporting Sales, Policy Services, Underwriting, Claims and other team members.
  • Dynamically enhances Company’s success by taking advantage of learning and development opportunities and personally integrating positive actions to improve individual performance.
  • Coordinates, oversees, participates in, and/or carries out “special” projects either independently or as a member of a group, as assigned.
