About The Position

We are looking for a Sales Manager in Eden Prairie, MN. The Sales Manager is to lead commercial growth for our dairy carbohydrate portfolio, including whey permeate, lactose, and related co-products, across U.S. feed and food industries. This role blends strategic sales leadership, business development, and customer relationship management to maximize volume, profitability, and market penetration. Salary range 006: $105,200 - $131,500 (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required. Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Minimum five (5) years of related sales experience required.
  • Strong experience determining solutions for customers using a consultative sales approach.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership and strategic thinking, with the ability to guide teams through change and make timely decisions under pressure, even with incomplete information.
  • Knowledge in business acumen, understanding of current and future policies, practices, trends, technology and information affecting the organization, familiarity with the competition, and comprehension of how strategies work in marketplace.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with executives, managers, colleagues and individuals inside and outside the organization.
  • Dedication to meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; acts with customers in mind.
  • Results driven, bottom-line oriented, strive to exceed goals, and motivate self and others to achieve positive outcomes.

  • Applies logical methods and leverages experience to effectively solve complex problems and deliver practical solutions.
  • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Sales Growth: Accelerate revenue for whey permeate, lactose, and dairy-based carbohydrate ingredients in feed and food sectors.
  • Strategic Account Management: Develop and execute account-specific business plans aligned with marketing and sales objectives.
  • Market Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities with feed manufacturers, food processors, distributors, and integrators.
  • Forecasting & Profitability: Manage detailed budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis; recommend actions to improve variances.
  • Customer Engagement: Conduct regular sales reviews, presentations, and negotiations for contracts, pricing programs, and long-term supply agreements.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor pricing trends, demand drivers, competitor activity, and regulatory developments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with supply chain, technical teams, and leadership to align forecasts and product positioning.
  • Industry Representation: Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and customer visits.
  • CRM & Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely reporting using company systems; maintain robust customer relationship management.
  • Broker Management: Oversee regional broker selection and performance for ingredient sales.
