Charter Casting is hiring a Sales Manager! The Sales Manager drives profitable growth by aligning customer needs with evolving market opportunities in the casting industry. This role maintains strong external awareness, monitoring industry trends, customer demand, and competitive dynamics to inform sales strategy and support long-term growth. The Sales Manager is accountable for results, translating business objectives into clear sales plans, aligning individual and team goals, and driving performance to consistently deliver against targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing, or related degree.
  • Ten plus years’ combined sales, marketing and/or technical experience.
  • Five plus years’ sales management experience.
  • Experience in building and leading sales team.
  • Capable of managing to completion a variety of projects and programs simultaneously and efficiently.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and requiring little or no supervision.
  • Ability to work with all levels of a customer’s organization and internal management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to gather data from multiple sources and report findings.
  • Solid understanding of margin analysis, cost drivers, and operational capabilities.
  • Proficiency with advanced features of Microsoft Products.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (50% plus).

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or a related advanced degree.
  • Experience selling through multiple channels (wholesale/mill direct and retail/distribution)
  • Experience with the strategic planning process.
  • Strong working knowledge of the specialty metals industry.
  • Strong project management skills.

  • Career motivated with both technical and leadership ability and the willingness to progressively assume broader responsibilities at a higher level in the business in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully deliver aggressive sales goals originating from strategic initiatives and building efficient “best-in-class” selling businesses.
  • Use VOC data to identify improvement opportunities, deliver consistent customer satisfaction, and build brand loyalty.
  • Manage product across multiple sales channels (direct and distribution).
  • Define and build an appropriate-sized sales team while simultaneously developing the performance metrics, reporting tools, and technical training needed to ensure success.
  • Analyze and report on sales performance to plan and standards, identify needs, and implement change as needed to maximize results.
  • Collaborate with marketing to build a comprehensive Sales & Marketing Plan.
  • Ensure business-wide awareness of competitive landscape, market development opportunities, and potential technological advantages that clearly tie to long-term strategies and values.
