About The Position

As a Sales Manager at Treetops Resort, you are responsible for generating revenue through corporate sales, with a focus on meetings, conferences, and corporate retreats. This hybrid role requires strong self-management skills, with the ability to work remotely and attend in-office meetings 4 days per month. The first 30 days of employment will be spent on property to fully immerse the candidate in the resort’s offerings and culture. The ideal candidate is a dynamic sales professional with experience in corporate group sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster long-term client relationships.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age and with a valid driver’s license.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality or a related field.
  • Must reside in the state of Michigan.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospitality sales.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (experience with Delphi, SMS, or Club Prophet is preferred).
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a similar role.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently in a hybrid work environment.
  • Flexibility to travel to the resort for in-office meetings and client site visits as required.

Responsibilities

  • Generate corporate group sales by identifying, prospecting, and securing new business, focusing on meetings, conferences, team-building retreats, and corporate events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at businesses, organizations, and event planners to secure group bookings.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets for corporate sales.
  • Conduct site visits and resort tours, showcasing the resort’s facilities, amenities, and unique offerings to potential clients.
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and presentations tailored to the specific needs of corporate clients.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless execution of corporate events, from booking to completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, client interactions, and contracts using the resort’s CRM system.
  • Attending industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand the resort’s corporate client base.
  • Stay current on industry trends and competitor activity to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the Director of Sales.
