About The Position

The Sales Manager is responsible for performing duties in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. This includes booking room revenue associated with a specified market or territory, and engaging in trade shows and sales travel to develop business and achieve set goals. The role requires the use of a personal device/cellular phone for job-related operational tasks, duties, and review of Company documents. The manager must maintain a professional work environment both in and out of the office while representing the company. They will manage Sales Coordinators and collaborate with other departments within the property to ensure positive results for guests and internal team members. The position requires being on-call to answer questions and make decisions regarding in-house groups, and to instruct other departments as needed. Maintaining strong relationships with clients is essential to ensure booking and re-booking of business. Sales Managers must possess comprehensive knowledge of the company's portfolio to effectively guide clients in their decisions.

Requirements

  • Ability to maintain professional work environment in and out of office at all times while representing our company.
  • Ability to manage Sales Coordinator and other departments within the property to create positive results for our Guests and internal Team Members.
  • Ability to be on-call to answer questions and make decisions concerning groups in-house and instruct other departments what needs to be done.
  • Ability to maintain relationships with Clients to ensure booking and re-booking of business.
  • Knowledgeable of the company portfolio in order to guide our clients in making decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Book room revenue associated with the specified market in accordance with the Manager’s territory and or market segment established when they are hired or transferred.
  • Participate in Trade Shows and Sales travel on behalf of the Company and the individual’s necessity in order to develop the business to produce the goals set forth.
  • Be responsible for personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of Company documents, etc.
