About The Position

Sales Managers work directly with all staff throughout the entire Sales process, from start to finish, ensuring compliance with Northtown’s policies and performance expectations.

Requirements

  • Previous Automotive Sales required - minimum 5 years
  • Previous Automotive Finance experience required, in some capacity
  • Proven leadership skills in current position
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to operate smart phone, tablet and/or PC.
  • Valid in-state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Process: Must be able to demonstrate, train, coach, and mentor the entire process with the sales team.
  • Directing floor traffic: Traffic will be accurately entered each day store is open, into our CRM. Every inquiry of a vehicle shall be counted and documented, including walk in, guests from service inquiring about a vehicle, incoming phone calls, internet leads, etc.
  • Management of Sales Process: management will be involved, early on, with all guests. Manager should be there to support the sales team throughout the entire sales process.
  • Must follow the desking process set forth that is consistent and informative to ensure the sales process is being utilized.
  • Customer follow-up: All customer activity involving the purchase of a vehicle, sold and unsold, must be followed-up.
  • Support of Advanced TO for Financial Services and support the products, as well as mastering the Sales Manager contribution to sell a warranty
  • Effectively lead and manage staff to ensure company objectives are being met.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that allows you to get along with customers, vendors, co-workers, staff and management in all departments.
  • Adhere to all attendance requirements as outlined in the Northtown Employee Handbook.
  • Adhere to all requirements of employment as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Monitor attendance and payroll records for your department to ensure compliance
  • Remain up to date on all Federal State and Local labor laws as well as Northtown’s policies to ensure full compliance with laws and policies in your department.
  • Coordinate with HR Director prior to terminating staff members
  • Attend all required meetings whether departmental; store level; or corporate.
  • Maintain compliance with all Northtown and OEM required trainings and certifications.
  • Ensure that timely and accurate information is provided to the Accounting and HR Departments.
  • Coordinate with HR Department to hire, train, motivate, counsel and monitor the performance of department employees.
  • Maintain a safe work environment in the department and ensure that all personnel are compliant with all safety policies as outlined in the Northtown Employee Handbook; and have completed required safety training.
  • Operate vehicles at an appropriate speed, keeping safety in mind at all times.
