About The Position

We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead and grow our business within the Lexington, KY market. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, strengthening key customer relationships, and developing a high-performing team in a fast-paced, big-box retail environment. Candidates must currently reside in or near the Lexington area. Relocation assistance is not available. Lewis Bakeries is a family owned and operated company that was started by three brothers in 1925 in Anna, Illinois. Lewis primarily bakes loaf bread, buns and rolls under branded products such as Bunny Bread, Lewis Bake Shop, Healthy Life, as well as other brands. Bakery facilities are located in LaPorte, Ft. Wayne, Vincennes, and Evansville, Indiana, and Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Our heritage has been one of quality and reliability since 1925. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales and leadership experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG) or direct store delivery (DSD) environments
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading high-performing teams
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with technology and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and programs
  • Ability to analyze market conditions and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Must be able to work within the Lexington, KY market (no relocation assistance available)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening, where permitted by law

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers in a big-box retail environment
  • Recruit, train, and develop merchandisers to meet customer expectations and business objectives
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity; provide insights and recommendations to leadership
  • Execute company sales strategies to drive growth and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure team adherence to safety, compliance, and professional standards
  • Provide regular performance feedback and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
