About The Position

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead sales and business development for protein characterization software solutions in the biopharmaceutical and academic markets. You will manage day-to-day sales activities, drive revenue growth, and build strong customer relationships, while collaborating closely with Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams. The position requires expertise in enterprise deployments, mass spectrometry applications, and protein analysis markets. You will actively prospect new accounts, manage existing relationships, and coordinate demonstrations, pilot programs, and post-sales activities. This is a highly collaborative, remote-friendly role with significant impact on market adoption and commercial success in the region. Travel (20–40%) will be required to support customer engagements and industry events.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Life Sciences software sales, including Enterprise and Desktop solutions
  • Proven success selling to enterprise-level customers in the biopharma and proteomics markets
  • Strong knowledge of protein mass spectrometry applications, preferably in large molecules
  • Track record of achieving $1M+ annual quotas and managing deals >$50K
  • Experience with various sales methodologies and negotiating complex deals
  • Comfort working in a remote, matrixed environment with cross-functional collaboration
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel 20–40% as needed for customer engagements and events

Responsibilities

  • Lead sales and business development for Protein Metrics solutions across biopharma and academic organizations
  • Develop and execute sales strategies targeting enterprise customers, ensuring growth and retention
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key scientific and business contacts
  • Coordinate with Customer Success teams to deliver demonstrations, deployments, and pilot programs on time
  • Collaborate with Marketing to support events, webinars, and promotional initiatives
  • Track and report sales activities, pipeline status, and quarterly summaries in CRM systems
  • Provide feedback from customers to Product Management for continuous improvement
  • Act as a resource for customers to support ROI justification for Protein Metrics software
