Take a peek into our colleague experience as a Sales Manager-Group: What does the role entail? The Group Sales Manager is an experienced hospitality sales professional responsible for generating and managing group business for the resort. This position focuses on selling guest rooms, meeting and event space, and other Hyatt services to group clients while ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include soliciting and securing new business, maintaining and growing existing accounts, preparing and presenting proposals, conducting site inspections, and managing all aspects of the sales process. The Group Sales Manager is also responsible for accurate documentation, timely reporting, and effective use of Hyatt sales systems and procedures. This role collaborates closely with all Resort departments-including Sales, Events, Operations, and Revenue Management-to ensure seamless coordination and exceptional service delivery throughout the group experience and to achieve departmental and resort-wide goals. Requirements

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • Results driven, energetic, and focused
  • Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line

  • Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training
  • Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
