We are seeking a multifaceted and strategic Sales Manager to lead and develop our high-performing Food sales team! This role is responsible for driving business growth, encouraging customer relationships, and aligning team efforts with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong discernment, mentor capabilities, and a deep understanding of sales operations and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales leadership within chemical distribution or a related industry.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional relationships and resolve complex issues.
  • Deep understanding of industry and product landscape
  • Excellent interpersonal, mentor, and team-building skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM and analytics tools (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau).

Nice To Haves

  • Food Ingredients experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and apply financial metrics to guide team performance and market growth.
  • Align sales strategies with leadership expectations and communicate key drivers and obstacles.
  • Develop and carry out strategic plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with high-value customers, stepping in to support territory coverage when needed.
  • Mentor and develop sales talent through clear expectations, feedback, and growth opportunities.
  • Manage daily activities of new team members and foster diverse, effective teams.
  • Monitor performance metrics (e.g., business sales, call volumes) and provide actionable mentorship.
  • Navigate internal cross-functional teams and processes to support sales initiatives.
  • Leverage systems and tools (e.g., Tableau, Salesforce, SAP) to track performance and drive efficiency.
  • Nurture strong internal relationships to improve teamwork and support.
  • Facilitate issue resolution within sales processes, maintaining objectivity and persistence.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitive dynamics to deliver customer value.
  • Maintain and apply comprehensive product knowledge to meet customer needs and serve as a trusted advisor.
