At PNC, the Sales Leader II within the Business Banking organization is a key role, based in Little Falls/New Jersey. PNC emphasizes an in-office work environment that supports employee growth and work-life balance. The company values its people as its greatest differentiator, fostering an inclusive workplace where employees are respected, valued, and contribute to success. This position does not offer sponsorship for employment visas or participation in STEM OPT. The role involves managing and directing teams to achieve business results and customer experience goals. The Sales Leader II may have direct sales and client responsibilities and can manage both individual contributors and other managers, with a broader span of control than a Leader I. Key aspects include overseeing financial results, participating in and driving goal and strategy development, and leading efforts to achieve team objectives. The role requires monitoring business metrics, adapting sales strategies, and developing/executing account and sales plans. A significant part of the role is managing risk/return, driving quality for clients, and actively identifying and mitigating various risks such as regulatory, reputational, operational, credit, and human capital risks. The leader serves as an escalation point for risk management and may have exception authority. Building and maintaining a strong network of senior internal and external relationships (community, industry) is crucial for client acquisition and expansion. The Sales Leader II is expected to lead the team in offering PNC's full range of products and services, assist team members in networking, and use sales tools to coach the team on converting sales opportunities. Developing team members, monitoring progress, identifying high-potentials, and motivating staff, including talent acquisition and performance management, are also core responsibilities. The role requires effective planning, organizing, directing, analyzing, and evaluating staff and processes, and regularly communicating strategy to day-to-day activities. Employees are expected to be customer-focused and adept at managing risk in alignment with PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework. People managers at PNC are expected to cultivate diverse teams, role model values, drive change and innovation, take ownership for results, empower others, and develop employees and customers.
