About The Position

Sun Hydraulics, LLC in Sarasota, FL has a paid Sales internship opportunity available for summer. We generally try to fill summer openings by spring break. Junior and senior level students will gain hands-on exposure to sales operations, customer engagement, and business development activities within a manufacturing environment. This internship offers the opportunity to see how sales concepts and classroom learning are applied in a real-world industrial business while also gaining insight into overall company operations. Toward the end of the internship, interns will be asked to create presentations highlighting observations, process improvements, or sales support initiatives identified during their project work.

Requirements

  • Current Junior or Senior student pursuing a degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field
  • Self-motivated, self-starter with ability to begin and complete projects independently
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with data
  • Ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (or ability to learn quickly)
  • Professional demeanor and customer-focused mindset

Responsibilities

  • Assist sales team with administrative and operational support
  • Help organize customer data, sales materials, and CRM records
  • Support preparations of quotes, presentations, and sales reports
  • Conduct basic market or customer research as assigned
  • Assist with tracking leads, opportunities, and follow-up activities
  • Collaborate with marketing and internal teams to support sales initiatives
  • Participate in meetings and shadow sales staff to learn sales processes
  • Provide general support during customer visits, trades shows, or sales events (as applicable)
