About The Position

If you said yes to any of the above, we have the perfect opportunity for you! As an Intern at KEEN (KEENtern), you’ll dive into the exciting world of footwear, innovation, and community! You’ll get hands-on experience working alongside industry experts and contribute to shaping the future of KEEN. As the Sales Intern (run focused), you will play a pivotal role in supporting business development and growth of an exciting new category for the brand. You will work hands on across strategic sales pillars in the go to market process, maximizing sell through, account expansion, reporting, and ensuring the brand comes to life in an impactful way. This position offers hands-on experience in the execution of sales priorities, collaborating internally and externally with key business partners. You will work cross functionally across internal teams including marketing, product, community engagement and communications.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
  • Relevant coursework or experience in sales, marketing is a plus
  • Must be enrolled an accredited college or university at the Junior, Senior, or Graduate level
  • Must be able to dedicate 40 hours/week toward the internship during normal M-F PST working hours
  • Majority of time will be in KEEN office, some hybrid work, limited local field work
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to learn new software programs
  • Ability to solve problems with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively and on tight deadlines
  • Able to sit and/or stand at a desk and use a computer for extended periods of time
  • Excel data analytics skills including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.
  • Experience creating quality PowerPoint presentations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word
  • Be a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student working toward a degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Commit to a 10-week program from mid-June through mid-August
  • Dedicate 40 hours per week during standard M-F, PST working hours
  • All roles are located in Portland, OR. Must be able to move to Portland during the duration of the internship if you are not already living here.
  • Plan no more than four total days of vacation during the internship
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail in preparation of presentations, reports, and materials.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team.

  • Interest or experience in running preferred.
