Your mission, roles and responsibilities Overall responsibilities and duties: At FORVIA Seating, we give early‑career talent real responsibility, customer exposure, and a clear path to a full‑time role. As part of our Sales and Program Management team, you will be integrated into our Big 3 activities, working directly with GM, Ford, and Stellantis to understand each customer’s expectations and way of working. Based at our R&D Center in Auburn Hills, MI, the Program & Sales Engineer Intern supports the Sales & Serial Manager across Program, Serial Life, Development, and Acquisition topics. This internship offers driven individuals hands‑on learning, broad exposure to commercial and program activities, and opportunities to participate in key customer interactions, including face‑to‑face events and cross‑functional reviews. Core Job Responsibilities In this role, you will work on challenges that genuinely matter to our business and our customers. As a Program & Sales Engineer Intern, you will develop essential skills that will accelerate your career while contributing directly to key commercial and operational activities. Throughout this position, you will: Build leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills through real project work. Gain hands‑on exposure to cross‑functional teams, daily business issues, senior management, and direct customer interactions. Work with GM, Ford, and Stellantis to understand their expectations, processes, and operating rhythms. Learn financial fundamentals such as cost drivers, inflation impacts, and operational cost structures that shape commercial decisions. Support internal Change Management and customer‑driven modifications, ensuring technical, financial, and commercial alignment. Participate in VAVE and cost‑reduction initiatives that strengthen competitiveness and profitability. Assist in preparing commercial quotes and pricing strategies that support our negotiation approach. Expand your network through mentorship, training, workshops, and continuous development. Collaborate with international teams across FORVIA’s global footprint. Position yourself for potential full‑time opportunities after graduation. Key Missions of the Role • Prepare customer offers and respond to requests promptly. • Learn cost‑building fundamentals and how pricing decisions are made. • Support target pricing, basic negotiation logic, and proposal drafting. • Create and update simple price‑tracking charts. • Maintain customer price files and ensure alignment with internal tools. • Track and validate price updates and prepare basic price breakdowns. • Monitor overdue items and assist with follow‑up actions. • Review customer change requests and understand cost, tooling, and development impacts. • Contribute to cost‑saving ideas and continuous‑improvement projects. • Support sales administration (POs, invoices, overdue tracking) and spare‑parts pricing. • Coordinate prototype builds, order materials, track timing and deliveries. Requirements

  • A business-oriented approach, with curiosity about customer needs, commercial strategy, and how decisions impact profitability.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data management, quoting, and cost tracking activities.
  • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and support cost management decisions.
  • Comfort working in Excel, including functions, data manipulation, and building structured, reliable files.
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Interest in the automotive industry, innovation, and global collaboration.
  • Willingness to work in an international, fast paced environment and collaborate with global teams.
  • Minimum education level: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 2.8 GPA
