About The Position

The Sales Intern will support the Sales team by assisting with day-to-day tasks, project work, and cross-functional initiatives. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience, professional development, and exposure to core business operations within Sellmark. The intern will work under the guidance of a designated supervisor and collaborate with team members to contribute to meaningful projects aligned with departmental goals. Responsibilities may include research, data analysis, documentation, administrative support, and participation in team meetings or ongoing initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to develop practical skills, gain industry knowledge, and build professional competencies in areas such as communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. Internship program will run 12 weeks starting late May.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university program relevant to Sales.
  • Strong interest in Outdoor, Hunting/Shooting industry.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Professional attitude with a high level of integrity and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain customer relationship management (CRM) data quality by researching and entering prospect (leads) and account information, contributing to accurate pipeline and activity reporting.
  • Support the development of sales presentations, proposals, and outreach materials used for prospecting and account expansion initiatives (in tandem with marketing when applicable).
  • Observe and document key stages of the sales process (sales funnel) by shadowing client meetings and sales calls, gaining exposure to pipeline development through closing.
  • Contribute to at least two active business development or account growth initiative, assisting with research, prospect identification, or opportunity preparation.
  • Capstone presentation at the conclusion of internship.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the department's effective operation.
