About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Sales Executive to lead growth strategy and customer acquisition. The role is remote with presence in the National Capital region. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in federal, state & local sales/business development for a government contractor
  • U.S. citizen, eligible for government clearance
  • Proven track record closing multi-million-dollar contracts with federal, state & local agencies
  • Deep knowledge of federal, state & local procurement, capture management, and proposal processes
  • Executive communication and networking skills; established C-level and SES relationships

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in 8(a), WOSB, or set-aside environments is a strong plus
  • Prior federal government experience at GS-14 or higher (preferably in acquisition, program management, or IT leadership roles) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive growth across federal civilian and defense agencies, and state & local working closely with Company executives to identify core business strategies, capabilities, and growth opportunities
  • Lead business development, capture, and proposal teams to expand IMS’s government contract pipeline
  • Leverage experience and network to drive agency relationships and brand awareness
  • Oversee pursuit of IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, and task orders aligned to IMS’s core capabilities
  • Manage and coach sales/business development and proposal staff; set clear targets and KPIs
  • Represent IMS at federal, state and local contracting conferences and industry events
  • Track market trends, intel, and competitor activity to inform business growth
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on pricing strategies, solutioning, and teaming
  • Ensure sales activities adhere to compliance standards (FAR, SBA)
  • Willingness and ability to travel to support customers and potential customers
