About The Position

Based in Naperville, IL Delta Dental of Illinois has over 50 years of oral health experience and is dedicated to clients and employees alike. We’re looking for a Sales Executive who can: Target and develop accounts; initiate contact by phone, appointments or correspondence with appropriate client/prospect representative (i.e., broker, consultant, Director of Employee Benefits, V.P. of Human Resources, etc.). Strengthen client/broker/consultant relationships; continuous awareness of marketplace/competitor products and pricing through personal visits, calls, etc. Achieve and exceed sales quota; offer and present DDIL value-added products and services. Regular interface with Underwriting and other internal partners. Effectively manage RFP quote activity Prepare annual business plan. Meet or exceed weekly strategic broker appointments with expectations established by the VP/Director, Sales & Service. Meet monthly reporting requirements of new sales, broker activity.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience within the employee benefits industry
  • Must hold a current Insurance Producer’s license with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation or acquire one within a specified period of time following date of hire
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Working knowledge of computers and standard software packages
  • Superior strategic and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
  • Team player

Responsibilities
