This is a remote position covering Southern California (los Angeles, San Diego, Inland Empire). Must live within the covered territory. The Mission You are a high-energy "Hunter" responsible for driving growth through relentless prospecting and strategic account acquisition. You don't just manage a territory; you own it. You are highly self-driven , motivated by the win, and eager to master the technical complexities of the Draeger portfolio. While you are fiercely competitive, you understand that team success is your success , and you thrive in a collaborative environment where sharing market intel and supporting peers is the standard.

Requirements

  • The Personality: A mixture of "Hunter" (80%) and "Farmer" (20%). You love the chase but respect the relationship.
  • The Drive: Self-motivated with a "no-excuses" attitude toward hitting targets.
  • The Travel: Ready to be on the road up to 80% to be where the customers are.
  • The Mindset: Competitive heart with a collaborator’s soul. You play to win, but you play for the Draeger team.
  • BS/BA degree in business or a clinical field. We value equivalent experience and a high "learning quotient" over a specific piece of paper.
  • Ideally, 3+ years of sales experience in a related field.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. You are as comfortable in the C-suite as you are at the bedside.

Nice To Haves

  • If you have the natural "hunter" instincts but haven't carried a bag yet, we have an open mind and are ready to invest in your development.
  • The "Clinical Path": If you are an RN with NICU experience or have a strong clinical background but no formal sales experience , we want to talk to you. We aren't afraid to develop your natural skills to make you "best in class."
  • Experience in strategic, complex selling environments is a plus.
  • The Natural Hunter: You are highly self-driven, motivated by the win, and possess an "already born with" ability to influence others.
  • Consultative Mastery: Ability to understand deep customer needs and translate them into a Draeger solution that details both clinical and business benefits.
  • The Disciplined Team Player: Strong analytical skills and the ability to work within a matrix organization. You understand that your success is the team’s success.

Responsibilities

  • Aggressive Business Development: Drive sales through high-volume prospecting, account qualification, and aligning Draeger solutions to complex clinical workflows.
  • Master the Sale: Take full ownership of the sales cycle—from initial "cold" outreach and product demonstrations to quoting and closing—ensuring quotas are exceeded across all categories.
  • Coachability & Growth: Demonstrate an eagerness to learn and a high degree of coachability. You proactively seek feedback and are not shy about asking for help or escalating issues kindly and early to ensure customer success.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Clinical and Technical Service teams to position the best possible solution. You understand that "moving the needle" requires internal alignment and constant communication with Marketing and Service personnel.
  • Territory Ownership: Work with the Area Sales Director to build and execute tactical plans that win in the short term while building a dominant long-term market position.
  • Resilience & Escalation: Navigate roadblocks with a solution-oriented mindset. You are expected to manage "the messy middle" of deals, escalating technical or legal hurdles professionally to keep the momentum.
  • Funnel Discipline: Maintain meticulous records of your "hunting" activities—prospecting, funnel management, and forecasting—within our CRM to provide a clear roadmap of your path to the win.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life, short- and long-term disability coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Over 4 weeks of paid time off, plus holidays and parental leave
