About The Position

As we continue our fast growth, we are looking to hire a Sr. Sales Executive to join our Mid-Market Brand Partnerships team. We’re looking for an experienced and driven seller to develop and grow partnerships with consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands. We work with companies of all sizes, whether established household names or new emerging brands - we help our partners reach new customers and drive sales across the 1,500+ retail banners available on Instacart. The team’s remit is to act as strategic consultants to accelerate the revenue growth of CPG brands on Instacart. The team works closely with internal cross-functional teams from product, comms, marketing, insights, and analytics to drive value and excitement with our partners.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced sales environment
  • 2+ years of experience in retail media, digital advertising and/or managing CPG clients
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Creative problem-solver
  • Team-player with a positive can-do attitude
  • High attention to detail and strong execution skills
  • Familiarity with tools of the trade (eg. Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Google Drive)
  • Experience with large data sets and ability to extract business insights from analysis

Nice To Haves

  • Digital advertising experience, particularly in paid search, display, or retail media
  • Experience with Tableau & Salesforce
  • Previous experience as a top-performing individual contributor
  • Experience in CPG, eCommerce, and/or marketplace environments

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with advertisers, managing all aspects of the sales cycle for a book of business between 5-10 accounts.
  • Identify and build relationships with executive contacts within your clients. Demonstrate strong executive presence with a proven ability to establish and grow C-level client relationships
  • Maintain a high daily volume of activity including outbound calls, emails, and social selling.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, annual planning and budgeting process with various brands and build data-driven narratives to support ad revenue growth.
  • Experience forecasting a book of business for quarterly & annualized growth.
  • Proven history of exceeding sales goals/quota as an individual contributor.
  • Generate weekly campaign reports and optimization recommendations, as well as monthly / quarterly reviews.
  • Leverage prior experience in the intersection of CPG, Digital & Sales to drive meaningful long-term growth across Instacart’s ad suite.
  • Travel required as needed for team meetings, customer visits, and industry events.
