About The Position

Sales Engineer - Automated Packaging Systems Regional Sales Manager / District Sales / Technical SalesMost sales roles talk about “solutions” and “relationships” but revolve around incremental orders and price negotiations. This one doesn’t. You’ll be selling custom built, fully automated bulk packaging systems with an average order value of $2 million. Every deal is engineered, bespoke, and operationally critical to your customer’s business. Your conversations won’t be about discounts. They’ll be about throughput, uptime, safety, ROI, and future-proofing operations. The Business This is a 150 year old global manufacturer and a genuine thought leader in Form Fill Seal and automated packaging technology. They don’t sell catalogue products. They design, engineer, build, install, and support tailored systems for some of the most demanding industrial environments in the world. No two deals are the same What You’ll Be DoingYou’ll own the full commercial lifecycle for your territory: Developing and executing a strategic sales plan across HoustonManaging and growing key accounts while identifying new project opportunitiesLeading complex, consultative sales processes from first conversation to contract signatureConducting site surveys and working closely with customers to define technical and operational requirementsWriting and presenting detailed commercial proposals and forecastsNegotiating with senior stakeholders across engineering, operations, procurement, and leadership teamsWorking cross functionally with engineering, project delivery, and service teams to ensure flawless execution This is a field-based role with regular customer visits. You’ll manage your own diary, priorities, and pipeline like a professional.

Requirements

  • Proven experience selling capital equipment or high-ticket, project led solutions
  • A track record of winning new business and developing key accounts
  • Experience selling into petrochemical, fertiliser, agriculture, animal feed, compounds, or salt sectors
  • A consultative, relationship-led sales approach
  • Strong commercial acumen and exceptional communication skills
  • Understanding of automated machinery, engineered systems, or industrial technology

Nice To Haves

  • A mechanical engineering or automation background (advantageous)
