About The Position
Sales Engineer selling fault monitoring equipment used by electric utilities for locating, predicting, and preventing grid faults. The fault monitoring equipment: â Finds fault locations within seconds and predicts potential problems before they happen. âOptimize grid operations, reduce downtime, and enhance safety. âOperates on medium and high voltage grids
Requirements
- Ideally based in the Northeast US or willing to travel extensively to the area.
- 5+ years of experience selling to the electrical power industry particularly in US power grid technologies used on distribution and transmission systems
- Ability to teach and relate ideas or concepts to individuals with varied levels of experience
- B.S. Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent experience in the field of electric power engineering
- Experience in working with network protection, automation & control devices, IT and data communications
Responsibilities
- Expand sales throughout assigned territory by calling on electric utilities
- New customer acquisition
- Develop proposals for customers
- Attend conferences and trade shows
Benefits
- Salary up to $150,000 (DOE) with total compensation potential of $200,000+
