About The Position

LYT is seeking a growth minded sales engineer to serve as the technical expert on the sales team. This individual will help to tailor LYT's solution for potential customers and lead pilot projects and provide technical expertise on sales opportunities. They will also serve as the voice of the customer, bringing feedback back to the Product team for future development.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant technical sales or engineering role.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering field
  • Experience with traffic controllers and a strong understanding of traffic engineering principles.
  • Demonstrable expertise in presenting technical products and services.
  • Experience providing expert advice and troubleshooting customer inquiries.
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Willingness to travel as required (up to 25%)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and give technical presentations to explain to customers how LYT's system works and fits into their existing ecosystem
  • Articulate the technical value proposition of cloud-based, AI-driven traffic solutions to both technical and non-technical city and agency stakeholders
  • Serve as Project Manager on pilot projects, helping clients achieve pilot objectives
  • Run training sessions with prospective customers on how to use LYT's platform
  • Communicate with the sales team to understand consumer demands and offer sales support where necessary
  • Lead in the technical response and system design on RFPs
  • Help clients to solve problems with product usage
  • Give active feedback and insights from the market to the product development and marketing team
