We are looking for a Sales Engineer to support our OEC brand. This role will work out of our Ashland, OH location. Our OEC (Ohio Electric Control) is a leading provider of engineered electrical control panels for the water and wastewater industries, along with drip irrigation systems, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Check us out at OEC.com or SJEinc.com! As our Sales Engineer, you will be working directly with our customers. You will be reading engineering specifications, providing sales quotes, building customer relationships, identifying cost saving opportunities, and negotiating with company vendors regarding specified equipment areas. Every day, your primary role will be to provide exceptional customer service and communication to our customers. You will prepare cost estimates and generate proposals for industrial control panels that could include components such as PLC's, VFD's, HMI's and starters. You will be working with panels that utilize various instruments such as flow meters, transducers, and sensors to operate and control systems in the water and wastewater industry.

  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication to our customers
  • Prepare cost estimates and generate proposals for industrial control panels that could include components such as PLC's, VFD's, HMI's and starters
  • Working with panels that utilize various instruments such as flow meters, transducers, and sensors to operate and control systems in the water and wastewater industry.
  • An understanding of bid specifications, plans, and the ability to read electronic drawings/specifications.
  • Excellent customer service focus with clear and frequent communication.
  • Control panel design and CAD drafting knowledge.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and estimating tools.
  • A 2-year technical degree with 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Up to 120 hours of Paid Time Off in your first year plus 8 paid holidays.
