About The Position

Sales Engineering support for the national sales team.  This role will support both direct and channel business and will be focused on driving the technical aspects of the sales process.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Sales or Systems Engineer experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of enterprise solutions, focus on datacenter, wireless a plus.
  • Excellent communication and technical sales presentation skills
  • Able to perform product and technology demonstration including proof of concept setup/deployment
  • Account management, business development and sales process knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise data networking and management, network security, storage, WLAN, physical security, and wireless desired.
  • Must be able to maintain professional demeanor during stressful situations.
  • Able to interact positively and productively across functions within the organization. 
  • Ability and willingness to make timely decisions; exhibit sound and accurate judgment; support and explain reasoning for decisions; and include appropriate people in decision-making process.
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities and to consistently meet commitments and deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the Federal market a plus.
  • Desired certifications: Networking, Wireless, and Security Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Primary technical resource for the field sales force
  • Responsible gathering client requirements and the creation of technical product solution creation
  • Presentation of solutions and products to clients
  • Driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process as well as execution 
  • Act as a key technical advisor and product advocate for our products and solutions.
  • Responsible for product and technology demonstrations.
  • Must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.
  • Must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.
  • Able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
  • Able to take the technical lead on the certification processes and provide the interface between technical customers and ATI product line management and engineering.
  • Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
