About The Position

Kaydon Ring & Seal (KRS) is responsible for Aerospace and Industrial applications. KRS has a customer portfolio that includes all major players in the Aerospace and Industrial industries. Our business is fully customer focused, with products specifically designed for an engine/airframe application and then produced in small quantities and small lots on highly flexible equipment. Extreme product range fragmentation, complex product design, very high-quality standards and traceability requirements are the peculiarity of the KRS business. We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our Oil & Gas market product team. The primary role of Sales Engineer is to develop and present technical/commercial solutions to customer needs, ultimately leading to placement of customer order.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related technical discipline)
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude
  • Sufficient PC capabilities to interface with company and customers
  • Eligible to receive TWIC credential for access to petroleum refineries
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US; sponsorship not available

Responsibilities

  • Development of quotes, reports, presentations
  • Tear down and evaluation of customer property returned for repair
  • Managing existing customers and opportunities
  • Uncovering and adding new customers and opportunities
  • Forecasting of orders and sales quotas
  • Technical support of customer equipment
  • Travel to support customer needs and engagement – 25% travel
  • Report progress against specific objectives and opportunities in a timely manner
  • Keep Director abreast of changing market conditions, major customer shifts, competitive activities and the like
  • Independently close sales opportunities against expectations
