About The Position

ECC – Sales Engineer II Full Time, Regular Vantage Elevation Elevator Controls Company LLC has an opening for the position of Sales Engineer II (Ref# SE320DZ). Requirements

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Plus 7 years of progressive experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Product Engineer, Design Engineer, or related experience.
  • Position requires 5 years of experience with providing technical support to sales team.
  • Must be able to work 40hrs/week.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reviewing technical project specifications, thoroughly but quickly identifying and listing all requirements, and assessing which are satisfied with standard product configuration, which require special engineering (software or hardware), and which the company should set aside identified as exceptions when the project is bid.
  • Review, ensure, and approve accuracy of project quotes before bid is submitted to customer.
  • Primary interface between Sales and Job Engineering when a quote is converted to an order, responsible for ensuring that all necessary information and clarifications are present and documented so when projects are passed to the Engineering department, engineering can begin immediately.
  • Review project specification documents to extract summary requirements and prepare and/or review and approve accuracy of job price quotes.
  • Identify and list all functional requirements relating to the elevator control system.
  • Assess and identify standard, special and exceptional functions and document accordingly.
  • Review project data forms to ensure completeness, clarity.
  • Identify any missing data or required clarifications and obtain the same from customer.
  • Assist customer in specifying proper equipment for their application as required.
  • Specify and order all long-lead components required for each project.
  • Understand all available system features, options and compatibilities.
  • Develop familiarity with the Job Engineering process and requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to increase standardization, improve sales and engineering processes and develop better solutions to increase production efficiency, reduce costs and maximize profitability.
  • Provide technical support to the sales team and give customer technical sales presentations.
