Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of industrial sales experience in automation or related technologies
  • Strong technical fluency in: Robotics and machine vision Fastening/joining systems Dimensional test systems Material handling and transport Fabrication and machining
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and close complex deals

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business through networking, cold outreach, and industry connections
  • Maximize account penetration and grow market share with high-value clients
  • Deliver compelling presentations and demos both in-person and virtually
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and internal teams
  • Qualify client needs and collaborate with Sales and Applications Engineering to craft tailored solutions
  • Communicate the value of our automation offerings throughout the sales process
  • Document project requirements and present proposals within approved parameters
  • Meet or exceed performance quotas and promote service contracts and add-ons
  • Provide regular updates to management on forecasts, client progress, and competitive activity
  • Represent the company at national and regional industry events
  • Maintain accurate client and prospect data in CRM systems
  • Participate in internal and client meetings, project kick-offs, and solution development
  • Support cross-functional collaboration during design, build, and installation phases
  • Respond to client feedback professionally and promptly
  • Assist in team reviews to ensure maximum client value
  • Occasionally entertain prospective clients within company policy guidelines
