About The Position

Black Diamond Coatings, Inc. (BDC Brands) is seeking a Sales Director to join their growing team in Brooksville, FL. This role is for a strategic thinker and relentless doer, equally at home in the boardroom with merchant buyers and in the field opening new accounts. The Sales Director will own sales growth across big-box retail (Home Depot, Lowe’s, Ace, True Value, etc.), retail buying groups (Ace, True Value, Do It Best), and customer-tied eCommerce (HomeDepot.com, Lowes.com). The mission is pure growth, driving revenue expansion in existing accounts, aggressively opening new ones, and ensuring profitability by selling on value, not price. BDC Brands is a family- and veteran-owned manufacturing company based in Brooksville, Florida, creating high-performance, eco-friendly products under the DOMINATOR®, AQUA-X®, and OBSESS® brands. Requirements

  • 7+ years of B2B product sales, preferably in home improvement, building materials, or CPG.
  • Proven success managing merchant relationships at Home Depot, Lowe’s, Ace, or similar.
  • Track record of growing brands in competitive categories without deep traction.
  • Comfortable building teams, opening doors, and rolling up your sleeves to close deals.
  • Scrappy, tenacious, and laser-focused on execution — You can close deals others thought were impossible.

Responsibilities

  • Expand sales by balancing new customer wins and deeper penetration in current accounts.
  • Drive national sales strategies across retail, eCommerce, contractor, and distribution channels.
  • Negotiate merchant-level programs, promotions, and line reviews at big-box and buying group accounts.
  • Build and lead a lean, high-performance sales team (inside & outside) focused on execution.
  • Be in the field — meeting customers, attending trade shows, training reps, and creating demand.
  • Own forecasting, pipeline, and performance analytics through CRM (HubSpot).
  • Sell on value, not price — ensuring margins stay strong while hitting aggressive revenue goals.
  • Work closely with operations to align inventory, delivery, and service with account needs.
