About The Position

The Role: As the Sales Director, Americas , reporting to the SVP of Sales and Business Development, you will lead the North American sales organization and play a critical role in driving profitable growth. You will set strategic direction, steward resources, and ensure strong execution across pricing, contracts, channel management, and sales performance. Success in this role is measured by profitability, achievement of sales targets, and alignment with the company’s long-term growth strategy. How You Will Make an Impact: Align sales objectives with corporate growth strategies through active participation in strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, resource planning, and budgeting Drive profitable growth by managing pricing strategies to meet margin and profit expectations across existing, new, and modified products Lead contract management activities, including negotiating, reviewing, amending, and updating purchase and supply agreements to ensure customer requirements are met and maximum value is achieved Strengthen and expand the distribution network through clear guidance, effective communication, and targeted training for distributors and agents Assess sales organization capabilities and advocate for investments in talent, training, and administrative support Build, nurture, and sustain long-term industry relationships that create competitive advantage and enhance brand presence Demonstrate strong product and technology knowledge to effectively support customers and guide the sales organization Increase sales productivity by implementing a rigorous, data-driven sales process with clear KPIs, disciplined pipeline management, and continuous performance tracking Mobilize and align the organization around high-value market opportunities using proactive pipeline insights, Salesforce analytics, and informed decision-making Hold the sales team accountable through KPI monitoring, coaching to performance gaps, and consistent sales discipline Leverage strong analytical skills to develop evidence-based strategies, translating Salesforce data and market insights into clear, compelling recommendations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Chemistry, Engineering or Marketing
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales or marketing experience in the chemical or related industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales management experience
  • Experience in sales channel management and direct sales
  • Experience with related chemical industry, markets, customers, competitors and customer's customers
  • High degree of computer and software proficiency, specifically Salesforce and Microsoft Office applications
