About The Position

As part of the Kerr sales organization, the Sales Development Representative will begin their sales career in a program designed to teach the necessary skills required to be successful in an assigned territory, navigate the sales cycle, and meet or exceed set targets. As part of a team for a leading dental supplier, you will be mentored towards working with existing customers, while growing the customer base across multiple dental market segments and channels. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop an understanding of who a Kerr Sales Representative is, and what the role entails • Acquire product knowledge of core products through online, in person and in field sales training • Explore learning on more technical product information and competitive activity to gain confidence supporting sales and marketing efforts • Under the direction of the manager, begin mapping out accounts to focus on • Begin to schedule lunch and learns, in parallel to attending product foundation training • Ability to execute scheduled lunch and learn within the first 6 months. • Acquire knowledge on the consistent use of CRM to manage sales opportunities and growth within the territory • Schedule co-travel days to acquire learning required to move towards a field sales role • Support Regional Key Account Manager with pricing submissions and custom catalogs Job Requirements:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • New to sales, with a desire to begin a sales career in dental
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Willing to relocate upon graduation of the SDP program, to take on a sales representative role in an open territory
  • Curious, ambitious, adaptable, and ready to learn
  • Capable of digesting and verbalizing technical product and clinical information.
  • Ability to work independently, plan and prioritize workload
  • Capacity to work collaboratively with the larger team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate technical, chemical, and mechanical information simply and concisely
  • Ability to forge relationships with clinicians, decision makers, and dealer partners to build preference for the representative, Kerr products and the Kerr Brand
  • Ability to make decisions with consideration to business impact for both current and future opportunities
  • Ability to travel including evenings, weekends, and overnight stays up to 40%
