For more information, visit www.agilysys.com Position Overview As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) in the Global Marketing organization you will play a critical role in the top of our revenue funnel, bridging the gap between Marketing and Sales. Serving as the first impression of Agilysys, you'll be responsible for identifying and engaging net new prospects via outbound outreach, qualifying and nurturing inbound interest, and securing impactful conversations for our Sales Executives. Success in this role means consistently generating qualified pipeline by identifying high-value opportunities, with specific goals tied to number of sales accepted opportunities, pipeline generated and contribution to revenue. With knowledge of key industry trends (guest experience, personalization, automation and AI), you will help prospects understand how connected hospitality technology, and increasingly AI, can transform how organizations serve guests and run operations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of prior sales or business development, telemarketing, or quota-carrying sales experience.
  • Curiosity and ability to learn complex solutions with openness to coaching and mentoring.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding activity and pipeline targets.
  • Creative and persuasive with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to build rapport quickly and interact with C-Suite level contacts at enterprise organizations.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM, AI and modern prospecting tools.

  • Experience in hospitality, hotel/resort, or food service management industries.
  • Software or technology sales experience targeting enterprise accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation Identify and engage net-new high-value target accounts through research-driven, personalized outreach across , using phone, email, LinkedIn, video, and other digital platforms.
  • Research target accounts and contacts within our Total Addressable Market (TAM) to personalize outreach and improve conversion.
  • Qualify inbound leads generated from our website and from other demand marketing programs using defined criteria (Ideal Customer Profile, company size, title/role, buying readiness, and other qualification criteria).
  • Maintain accurate records of activity and progress in Salesforce
  • Provide weekly reporting to leadership on call and outreach activity.
  • Discovery, Qualification & Handoff Conduct discovery conversations to assess needs, pain points, buying interest and timeline
  • Use storytelling to explain Agilysys’s value based on the prospect’s pain points and gaps.
  • Deliver compelling value pitches and spark interest in a deeper evaluation.
  • Facilitate warm handoffs and calendar appointments for Sales Executives.
  • Nurturing & Engagement Re-engage dormant or stalled prospects in coordination with Sales.
  • Act as a prospect concierge, sharing content, answering early questions, and maintaining momentum until sales engagement makes sense.
  • Support 1:1 Account-Based Marketing efforts in key verticals in coordination with Demand Marketing (email campaigns, webinars, events, etc.).
  • Collaboration & Tools Work closely with Sales, Demand Marketing, and Product Marketing to align messaging and target accounts.
  • Conduct ongoing reviews with Sales to ensure timely progression of qualified opportunities.
  • Utilize a modern sales and marketing tech stack that includes: Salesforce, Pardot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HighSpot, SeamlessAI, Qualified, ConnectandSell and AI-enabled prospecting tools.
  • Stay informed industry trends, competitive solutions, and product roadmap updates, including advancements in AI, personalization and automation.
