The WWPS Global Lead Development (GLD) Team, part of Amazon Web Services (AWS), a leader in Cloud Computing, is expanding and looking for diverse talent. As a Lead Development Representative (LDR), you will play a crucial role within the sales organization by qualifying and generating leads, prospecting for new customers, and developing and executing sales campaigns. This position involves understanding customer pain points, correlating business value to customer needs, and presenting AWS solutions. The role requires collaboration with global peers, marketing, account managers, and partners. This position is based in Amazon's new headquarters in Northern Virginia, which involves a significant investment and the creation of many full-time jobs. The candidate selected for this position must be a US citizen.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English
  • Experience navigating prospective accounts from and into a senior executive level to identify new customer opportunities
  • 1+ years of using a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool experience
  • Experience and record of success in an outbound account management or prospecting role in B2B environments, preferably in a solution/technology-related environment
  • This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen

Responsibilities

  • Understand customer pain points, gather technical requirements and correlate business value to customer needs
  • Generate interest and provide vision of the portfolio of AWS solutions to potential customers using written reports/documents and verbal presentations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and customers in-person out of our Arlington, VA Headquarters and virtually via telephone and teleconferences. This position has an in-office requirement of 5 days per week
  • Understand existing and developing technologies as it relates to cloud computing and update their knowledge about new services by demonstrating that they can learn and be curious
  • Achieve monthly qualification goals and share them verbally and in written format
  • Update and maintain customer information within Salesforce.com to include detailed call notes that illustrate a firm understanding of the opportunity with clearly-defined next steps
  • Present a high level, technical solution to diverse audiences which include AWS colleagues, prospects and customers relevant to target industry or market
  • Conduct research to stay informed, learn about existing markets and grow knowledge about new ones
