As a Sales Associate on the Fluid Solutions team at United Rentals, you will participate in a structured Sales Development Program (SDP) designed to prepare you for a future role as an Outside Sales Representative. You will gain hands-on experience with technical products and develop relationship-building skills by working alongside industry experts. The training involves shadowing sales and operational roles at a local branch to understand the full equipment-rental lifecycle, participating in a digital onboarding class to sharpen sales techniques, and progressing through outbound sales campaigns to gain exposure to various construction verticals and customer segments. You will master key sales tools, lead high-level sales conversations, learn proven sales methodologies, and participate in local team initiatives. The program includes tracking progress, accessing real-time sales performance metrics, engaging in weekly peer-ranked competitions, and receiving daily feedback from leadership and call coaching sessions.
