About The Position

This position provides internal support to the Golf & Turf sales department and coordinates and executes sales orders as directed by the sales management team. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with previous accounting experience.
  • Communication is key—both internally and in collaboration with the Sales Team.
  • Must have proficient computer skills as well as an advanced aptitude in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate in person, by phone and in writing.
  • Must be able to present business information on a one-on-one or group basis.
  • Must have strong time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist in processing incoming sales worksheets from sales personnel
  • Assist in submitting documents for credit approval through John Deere Financial
  • Assist in creating invoice package for distribution to sales personnel
  • Assist in creating financial documents for distribution to sales personnel
  • Maintains a companywide log of sales invoices
  • Verifies accuracy of returned customer signed invoices and financial documents
  • Files UCC 1 documentation
  • Works within company business system to execute sales
  • Prepares rental purchase documentation for sales personnel
  • Assist in purchasing warranties
  • Assist with information gathering for sales department
  • Assist in capturing accurate and complete information in our Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)
  • Maintains current and accurate customer invoice files
  • Works with Accounting Department with invoice inquiries on cash application, taxes, and general ledgers
  • Assist in filing delivery receipts for sold machines
  • Prepares reports for contracts
  • Prepares used equipment inventory purchases in company business system
  • Maintains assigned general ledger accounts
  • Completes special project assigned by management in a factual and timely manner
  • Prepares monthly sales commission report for construction and forestry sales department & commercial worksite sales department
  • Maintain positive and professional working relationships with coworkers, management, and vendors with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and the employee handbook
  • Participate in all company driven communication efforts including department meetings, electronic communications (email and text) and other related efforts
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company sponsored training to develop skills and knowledge
  • Maintain prompt and regular attendance according to department and company policies
