About The Position

Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Sales Consultant – Texas to be the leading force in winning net-new customers and expanding our footprint. This is a true hunter role: 100% of your time is focused on outbound prospecting, creating pipeline, advancing opportunities, and closing new-logo business with independent insurance agencies (10–199 users). You will partner with our Solution Consultants to run a disciplined discovery-to-close process that shows how our SaaS and cloud solutions help prospects operate more efficiently and achieve measurable outcomes. As a Sales Consultant with Applied Systems, you will be relied upon to prospect into a defined territory, cold call, open doors, set first meetings, run sales cycles, and close. This is a full-time, base plus commission role with an uncapped compensation structure and required travel within your territory.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of successful B2B outside sales requiredwith a strong track record of net-new logo acquisition; SaaS/technology solution hunting experience preferred
  • Self-starter with high activity, resilience, and the ability to create momentum in new accounts (prospecting discipline, objection handling, and persistence)
  • A valid driver’s license and safe driving record is required
  • Salesforce (or similar CRM) experience preferred, including pipeline management, forecasting, and documented outbound activity
  • Ability to work 100% remotely, home office and residein one of the following markets: Dallas, Houston, Austin or San Antonio
  • Travel up to 50% within assigned territory
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or marketing, or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a territory plan to generate net-new pipeline through outbound prospecting (calls, emails, social, and field activity).
  • Source and qualify new opportunities from self-generated leads; respond with urgency and professional persistence.
  • Identifyand penetrate target accounts, map buying committees, and develop champions through a consultative discovery process.
  • Run end-to-end new-businesssales cycles: schedule and lead meetings, coordinate demos, build ROI/value narratives, handle objections, and negotiate to close.
  • Represent Applied Systems at industry events and local associations to uncover new conversations and book first meetings.
